Public Records- How do I request a copy of a public record?
In Collier County, we believe that an open and accessible government is vital to establishing and maintaining the people’s trust and confidence in their government.
In accordance with Chapter 119 Florida Statutes, every person has the right to access public records unless a record is exempted by law from disclosure. The requester may be responsible for any fees associated with processing the request, which may include labor costs and/or the cost of copies, disks, or other means to transfer the record to the requester.
