INFRASTRUCTURE SURTAX FACTS:

• The 1% local government surtax took effect on January 1, 2019 following approval by a majority Collier County voters in November of 2018.
• The Surtax ended on December 31, 2023 because projected collections reached the amount of $490 million last year.
  
• As of January 1, 2024, The sales tax in Collier County is now the same as general state sales tax rate of 6%.
