Soil Testing - The Collier County Fertilizer Ordinance

As referenced in the Fertilizer Ordinance, how do I get soil tested for Phosphorus (P)?
- Forms and soil sample bags are available at the UF/IFAS Extension Collier County Office at: 14700 Immokalee Rd, Naples FL 34120 (8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday) (except County holidays) Questions call: 239-252-4800
- The soil testing instruction form for UF/IFAS Extension in Gainesville is also available online at the following link: Soil Testing Lab Form
- Labeled (with contact information: including name, address, where sample was taken, phone number, and email address) bag of soil to be tested (sealed plastic bag with ½ Pint, which is 1 Cup of soil) , completed form, and check or money order payment of $7.00 for Test B is to be sent by the potential Applicator to the Gainesville address listed on the form
- Test results will be mailed or emailed (usually available within 1 - 2 weeks) to the potential Applicator and also to UF/IFAS Extension Collier County Commercial Horticulture Agent who is available for follow up questions.
At this time, the local Collier County UF/IFAS Extension Office does not test soil for Phosphorus (P).
