4.3.1.4 Effects on Area Network  

Below is a snip and close-ups of the area from the Study. The snip is from the Recommended Managed Corridors for Alternates 3A and 3B, found on page 118 of the Study. Note that Alternatives 3A and 3B are very similar, with the main difference being the location of the overpass at I-75 and the connections to the existing roadway system on both the north and south sides of the interstate. A final recommended alternative, including how the facility would cross I-75, were not defined in the 2009 study.

Also is a snip of folio # 48586000023 which is the potential extension of future Benfield Road. south of Rattlesnake Hammock Road.

The Collier Metropolitan Planning Organization’s 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) shows this project as partially funded. That means, after the 2009 Study is updated and/or a preferred alignment is approved by the Board of County Commissioners, the project has allocations of funding for Right-Of-Way acquisition in FY2021-25, FY2026-30 and FY2031-35.  It is possible that the funding status could change.
