Right-of-Way (ROW) Acquisitions

Right-of-Way Acquisition acquires land and easements (right-of-way) for roadway and stormwater facilities through negotiation or condemnation.

The Florida Constitution stipulates that property may not be taken for public purposes without the payment of full compensation.

For additional information about the acquisition process, visit Right-of-Way Acquisition.

Right-of-Way Acquisition should not be confused with Right-of-Way Permitting, which addresses permits for driveways and other construction within the right-of-way.

Similarly, Real Property Management pertains to property acquisitions for sewer and water-related projects, parks and recreation, as well as the leasing of County property.

Information on properties in Collier County, including ownership, street address, ID or folio number, and aerial photography, is available through the Collier County Property Appraiser.
