COVID-19 Second Booster Information

The FDA has authorized a second booster dose of both the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. 

Boosters are recommended for the following:

  • A second booster of Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine may be administered to those 50 years of age and older at least 4 months after receipt of the first booster dose.
  • A second booster dose of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines may be administered to individuals 12 years of age and older with certain immunocompromised conditions. A second booster may be received at least 4 months after receipt of the first booster dose.
  • A second booster dose of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine may be administered to individuals 18 years of age and older with certain immunocompromised conditions. A second booster may be received at least 4 months after receipt of the first booster dose.

Those individuals with an immunocompromised condition should consult with with their physician to see if they qualify for a second booster.
