Collier CARES Individual Assistance Program- How do I apply for assistance?
*The Second Round of Applications for the Childcare, Electricity, Mortgage, and Rent Assistance Program will OPEN on October 19th at 8am and will CLOSE on November 2nd at 12pm.*
Collier County currently has an agreement with the United Way of Collier County to administer housing assistance provided by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and Florida Housing Finance Corporation.
Collier County will supplement this program using up to $15,000,000 in CARES Act funds. To differentiate funding streams and provide assistance to those that many not meet the criteria under previously provided grant funding, the program will use the following guidelines for distribution:
- Maximum assistance of up to $10,000 per household;
- Payments will be made directly to landlord, mortgage company, and/or utility company (Electric ONLY);
- Income qualification will mirror the CARES Act Economic Impact Payments guidelines, with assistance available to individuals with incomes up to $75,000 and households up to $150,000;
- Applicant must have had a loss of employment or reduced hours due to COVID-19;
Applicants must be Full-Time Collier County Residents. NO EXCEPTIONS

*Please DO NOT call 3-1-1 for the status of your application.* If there is an issue with your application someone will reach out to you directly within your File on the Portal. Please login and check your File as often as possible!
Due to the high volume of Applications, the review process could take approximately 6 - 8 weeks from the November 2nd deadline.
Once your Application is approved and sent to the Clerk of Courts payment can take another week to be issued.
