Saw Palmetto Berry - Do I need a permit to pick/harvest Saw Palmetto Berries?

YES, you do need a Permit (#FDACS-08025) from the State of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS).

You must also get a signed Permission Slip (from the owner of the property which has the berries growing on it, giving you permission to pick from their property).

Approved permits are valid for one year from the date it was issued on.
